Why are Lays not vegan?

In-N-Out Burger also offers vegan-friendly French fries that are cooked in vegetable oil. Wendy’s also offers vegan-friendly fries that are cooked in separate fryers to avoid cross-contamination with other non-vegan items. Additionally, some Taco Bell locations offer vegan-friendly fries. It’s important to note that some of these fast-food chains may have different ingredients/cooking methods at different locations, so it’s always best to check with the individual location to make sure the fries are vegan.
Why are KFC fries not vegan?
KFC fries are not vegan because they are fried in animal fat. The animal fat that KFC uses to fry their fries is typically beef shortening. According to the KFC website, “The major allergens in [KFC] Fries are Wheat and Milk due to shared fryer oil with chicken containing wheat and milk ingredients.” This means that the fries are cooked in the same oil used to fry chicken that contains milk and wheat, both of which are not vegan. Additionally, the fries are also seasoned with salt and other ingredients that may not be vegan, such as butter and milk solids.
What is the best plant-based veggie burger?
The best plant-based veggie burger is subjective, as it depends on personal taste and preference. However, some of the most popular options include Beyond Meat’s Beyond Burger, Impossible Burger and Gardein’s Ultimate Plant-Based Burger. Beyond Meat’s Beyond Burger is made with pea protein concentrate, expeller-pressed canola oil and coconut oil and has a taste and texture that closely resembles that of a traditional beef burger. The Impossible Burger is similar in taste and texture to the Beyond Burger, but is made with soy and potato protein, coconut oil, and other natural ingredients. Gardein’s Ultimate Plant-Based Burger is a vegan burger made from a blend of non-GMO soy and wheat, ancient grains, veggies and seasonings. It has a slightly crunchy texture and tastes similar to a traditional beef burger. Ultimately, the best plant-based veggie burger is the one that tastes the best to the individual.
