Why are nuts not vegan?
The key issue raised by those who feel that almonds cannot be seen as vegan is the way the trees are pollinated.

Why do vegans not eat honey?
For some vegans, this dietary restriction extends to honey. The rationale behind this is that bees produce honey through their labor, and thus harvesting it for human consumption is tantamount to exploitation. Furthermore, large-scale beekeeping operations can often harm or kill bees, which adds another layer of immorality to the honey-consuming equation for these vegans.
Some vegans believe that consuming honey is unethical because doing so exploits the labor of bees. These individuals also point out that large commercial operations involving beekeeping can often be detrimental to bee populations, as they may suffer from harmful conditions or die as a result.
